FAQs
Interested in joining us for a class? We got you, Mama. Here are our Frequently Asked Questions!
Stroller based programs
Can I try a class before I join?
Your first class is always free! Click the link at the top of your screen to find out more.
Do I need to pre-register or can I just show up?
While you can absolutely just show up, we would prefer you pre-register. By registering, you ensure you will get details about where to meet us; what to expect for the class and letting the instructor know her class size ahead of time.
What do I need to bring to class?
For you: water, towel, yoga mat/ blanket, sunscreen, and wear comfortable exercise shoes and clothing.
For your littles: snacks, toys, diaper bag essentials, a baby wear carrier (if your little has one) and any type of stroller.
I just had a baby, when can I join stroller classes?
You can begin attending class with your doctor's clearance to begin exercising, typically after your six week postpartum appointment. We would love to see you to help you ease back into exercise and also connect with other Moms as you move through this new chapter of Motherhood!
Can I attend classes if I am pregnant?
Absolutely! We encourage expectant moms to continue to exercise throughout their pregnancies as long as everything has been approved by their physician. We can modify any exercise that poses a challenge as you progress through your pregnancy.
FIT4MOM® recommends you obtain your doctor’s approval prior to beginning any exercise program. If pregnant, please speak with your physician before your first day.
How will I know if the class location has changed due to weather?
In case of inclement weather, outdoor class locations may change or indoor class may be moved to virtual. Pre-enroll for classes to be emailed with last minute weather location changes or changes in platform. A notification will also be sent out via our WhatsApp tribe thread to those who have an active pass or plan with us. You can also check the schedule on our website. If the class pivots locations or platforms, it will be done two hours prior to start.
Do I need to be a runner to attend these classes?
Absolutely not! FIT4MOM is for moms of all fitness levels. We meet for a warm up, then power walk or jog to each exercise station. You exercise at the pace you feel most comfortable.
At what age can my baby be in a jogger?
As a general guideline, when your baby can hold his/her head up, he/she can ride in a jogger. But, we suggest that you follow your own stroller manufacturer’s guidelines. You can use a head roll and bolster to make your baby even more secure. With shock absorbers and recline features, the age can be quite young.
Do I need a jogging stroller for the workout?
Jogging strollers are not required. As long as the stroller is sturdy; not prone to tipping; has working brakes; and all children can be safely strapped into their seats for the duration of class, it will work just fine!
My baby doesn't like being in the stroller, gets fussy or I need to feed?
Our classes are designed to keep the kids moving and engaged by incorporating songs and various props to keep them engaged. With that said, if you need to change, nurse or console your baby, please do so - remember, you are in good company. Also know we encourage baby wearing if that is what your little one needs to be comforted and for you to keep moving with us!
Can my older children walk along or ride their bike during class?
If a client brings an older child to class that is not in a stroller, the child may walk with the parent from station to station but may NOT participate during class. At each station, they are to sit next to a stroller or next to mom for the entire duration. Classes are not designed for people under 18. Parents must also sign the “Big Kid Rider” waiver in Pike13 for each child over kindergarten/6+ years of age and kids MUST sit next to the stroller at stations. No bikes or scooters are permitted.
In this situation, it is the mom's responsibility to make sure their child is following directions and both follow the instructors lead to maintain safety. To be clear, bikes or scooters are NOT allowed; the child must walk and remain next to their mom.
